Meet the Owner

Hello and thanks for visiting!  I’m Carl, the owner of Crackle Fireplaces.  I operate this small business out of my home or wherever I am at the current time.  All contact comes directly to me and I handle all of our customers personally.  Every order ships direct from the manufacturer/distributor to help save you time and money.

I bought the business from George in 2020 while working at a DirecTV call center.  It was the only job I could find at the time.  No one else would hire me and I wanted something better.  I started looking for online businesses and came across this one.   I started spending time after work learning the business.  I didn’t know if this would lead anywhere.  Orders started coming in little by little.  It started looking like this might be a viable alternative to traditional employment which doesn’t seem to work for me.  Midway through 2020, I was basically working two jobs.  Eventually, the call center just wore me out and I had to quit in the winter of 2021.     

I grew up in Missoula, MT and currently reside here.  I have numerous houseplants that I care for.  My favorite things to do in the summer are hiking and golfing.  When I was in college, I worked at the UM Golf Course.  I got free golf!  It stuck and I play all the time now.  During the winter you can find me skiing at Snowbowl or hiking in the snow up the Rattlesnake Wilderness.  You can also find me at the brewery enjoying a Doppelbock or two.  

I graduated from the University of Montana with a Marketing degree.  I also hold a life insurance license in the state of Montana. The ecommerce world is a great fit for me because it offers so much flexibility.  I really enjoy helping people with fireplaces and fire pits!  I think they’re really cool and I hope you do too.
